Lionheart Industries was founded in 2011 by D.J. MacLean, mechanical engineer and serial entrepreneur. The company currently distributes pistols made by S&T Motiv in South Korea. S&T Motiv began as Daewoo Precision Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daewoo that was established in 1981 to manufacture small arms. In 2002 the company changed ownership to S&T Holdings and in 2012 adopted its current name, S&T Motiv. D.J. has a close partnership with S&T Motiv and has steered some design and manufacturing enhancements. Lionheart Industries is currently in the process of moving to Georgia, with the plan to launch US production of their own modular pistol design.
