Grand Power was founded in 1998 by Jaroslav Kuracina, a former weapons officer in the Slovak Army. In early years he utilized contract manufacturing to produce his first pistol designs, including significant quanties made by STI International (now Staccato). Grand Power has invested in production and is now self-sufficient in manufacturing.
