Live Free Armory (LFA) was founded in 2014 by Chris Riedeman, a U.S. Army veteran, law enforcement officer, and competitive rifle shooter. He transformed his own passion for building rifles into a custom-build service for others. He quickly joined forces with Colby Santaw, an aerospace engineer who had been contract manufacturing firearm components for Ruger. In 2016 they built out a facility for assembly. In a short time they moved into a larger facility and invested in manufacturing of components. LFA now makes firearm parts for over 100 other OEMs. They launched their own line of pistols in 2022.
