Oriskany Arms traces it's roots back to the founding of Fermer Precision in 1947. Fermer started as a tool-and-die shop after WWII and diversified into manufacturing firearm components in 1997. Frank Giotto, serial entrepreneur, acquired the company in 2011 to provide metal-working capabilities for his group of companies. In 2013 Giotto Enterprises incoporated Oriskany Arms, named after the hometown of Oriskany where an epic battle was fought during the Revolutionary War. The company focuses on production of 1911 style pistols. Components are made at Fermer Precision, and design and assembly are supervised at Oriskany Arms by James Rabbia, former engineering leader at Remington Arms.
