Palmetto State Armory (PSA) was founded in 2008 by Jamin McCallum after serving in the US Army and National Guard. This included 3 years of active duty and a tour of duty as a combat engineer in Iraq where his vehicle was hit by an IED. He overcame traumatic brain injury and channeled his passion for firearms, starting by retailing magazines and ammo. Within a few years he built PSA to six retail stores and one of the largest on-line retailers for firearms and accessories. The company began offering its own models of rifles and pistols with significant investments in US manufacturing capabilities.
