Polymer80 (P80) was founded in 2013 by David Borges and Loran Kelly. Borges had prior background in finance and Kelly brought experience in product design and injection molding. P80 offers polymer frame kits and components compatible with Glock models. The 80 in the company's name is based on the percentage of work finished on all the parts. The buyer completes the remaining 20 percent of the work to finish the gun including drilling and assembly. The final gun has no serial number and owners are usually not subject to background check regulations. P80 launched their own line of completed pistols in 2020.
