Armscor has been importing firearms to the US since 1985 via Armscor USA. These guns are marketed under the brand name of Rock Island Armory. Armscor evolved from Squires Bingham & Co founded in 1905, a general store selling a variety of goods including imported guns. The company transitioned to begin manufacturing guns in 1952 and now produces several hundred thousand firearms per year. The company has been owned by the Tuason family since 1941. The company name changed to Armscor in 2009.
